My thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with Detective Lucas Allen, his family, and the Anthony Police Department during this incredibly difficult time.
As the department’s former Police Chief, and having worked closely with Det. Allen, news like this weighs heavy on my heart. The loss is felt far beyond the badge, reminding us all of the sacrifices our officers make and the challenges they face every day.
Det. Allen was a proud veteran of the United States Army Military Police, a top performer in DUI enforcement, and an incredibly hard-working man. I also had the privilege of seeing him excel as one of the department’s first members of the Honor Guard, where he served with candor, pride, and deep respect for the work.
He was a team player who genuinely cared about the community he served. His dedication, professionalism, and commitment to others will not be forgotten.
May Detective Allen rest in peace, and may his loved ones and brothers and sisters in blue find strength, comfort, and support in the days ahead.

El detective Allen fue un orgulloso veterano de la Policía Militar del Ejército de los Estados Unidos, un excelente agente en la aplicación de leyes contra el DUI y un hombre sumamente trabajador.
